Overview
El Petit Obrador has made Italian pizza with a creative touch since 2010, near Girona: dough fermented for at least 34 hours and baked in a volcanic-stone oven. Besides its pizzerias, it sells fresh pizza to bake at home, shipped chilled within 24 to 48 hours. Carla designed its twenty-page website at Hooba.
Objective
Sell fresh pizza online to homes, bars and restaurants, and tell the story behind it so people see what makes it different.
Approach
Build on the brand's black and yellow with big food photography and a serif display face, and keep the shop one click away from every page.
Design Process
From the brand to a working online shop, in four steps.
- 01
Structure
Organising twenty pages: the shop, the brand and its story, the gallery, the menu, the pizzerias, news, reviews and catering.
- 02
Prototype
Prototyping the key pages in Figma before building them.
- 03
Online shop
A product grid, product pages with options for every diet, the basket and the checkout.
- 04
Build
Laying out the pages in Hooba's CMS with HTML and CSS.
Home Page
The home page sells first: fresh pizzas in a carousel, then shipping, free delivery and secure payment at a glance, the options for every diet and the pizzeria in Girona.

Online Shop
More than forty pizzas, pastas and pizza bases, each with its own page: size and weight, ingredients, and options for gluten-free dough, vegan cheese or lactose-free cheese.

The Story
Two pages tell what makes the pizza different: the brand's story since 2010, and "the secret": 00 flour, at least 34 hours of fermentation and two minutes at over 300 °C in a volcanic-stone oven.

Points and Gallery
A points programme, with a point in every pizza box to redeem for drinks, Italian pasta or wine, and a photo gallery of the pizzas.
